Store 2-6 pallets deep, cut aisles. Free layout. A row of selective rack gives each of those pallets its own aisle face, and that eats floor fast. Pushback racking stores those pallets two to six deep in one lane. The forklift loads from the front and pushes the earlier pallet back on nested carts. We lay out push back rack systems for warehouses in Largo, Pinellas Park and the Gateway area, where adding square footage is seldom an option. (727) 361-6147: 7273616147 ## Why Grocery and Beverage Warehouses Lean on Pushback Grocery and beverage distribution is one of the steadiest drivers of racking demand in this county. Case-goods suppliers, drink distributors and food service houses all carry deep stock on fast-moving items. Those items rarely need first-in, first-out rotation by the pallet. Last-in, first-out works fine, and that is how pushback operates. In cooler space, the math gets sharper. Every square foot you chill costs money each month, so cutting aisles out of a refrigerated room pays back faster than it would in dry storage. ## How the Lanes Actually Work Each lane sits on a slight incline with a set of carts stacked inside one another. The driver sets the first pallet on the front cart, then uses the next pallet to nudge it back. When a pallet is removed, the ones behind roll forward to the face. Your operator never drives into the rack, which keeps frame damage down. Lanes can run two, three, four, five or six deep. Deeper lanes save more floor but hold more of a single SKU, so we match depth to your actual pallet counts. The same is true of Pinellas Park's corridor along 28th Street N and Park Blvd. With little land to expand on, warehouses here grow by going denser and taller. Pushback is one of the first systems we compare against selective rack when a client is running out of positions. On the layout we show both options side by side, so you can see how many positions each yields in your building. ## Details Buyers Ask About Pushback carts are rated for a maximum pallet weight, and that rating has to cover your heaviest load, such as a full pallet of bottled water or canned goods. Pallet condition matters too. Broken bottom boards can hang up on carts, so we ask what pallets you receive from suppliers. Lift height and reach also come into play, since the highest level must sit within what your forklift can place on an incline. ## Getting It Installed Once the layout is approved, we itemize frames, beams, cart assemblies and installation in one quote. Our crew installs in sections so receiving and shipping can keep moving. If you already have selective rack, we will look at whether some frames can be reused in the new lanes. Our team handles the permit side for you. ## Recent Installations A sample of racking projects completed across the region.
